What Is It?
Complete upgrade/rewrite of the highly acclaimed Convert! Convert 2 is simply the greatest tool available for calculating conversions on the Macintosh. Temperature, Velocity, Time, Mass, Currency, Bartending, you name it! 45 different conversion categories are available, offering thousands of conversion possibilities. Convert 2 supports most of the widely used SI Prefixes. Full support of the Mac OS 9/Mac OS X including Drag and Drop, multiple monitors, multiple conversion windows with "memory", greatly expanded foreign localizations, and a non-modal user interface. Convert 2 features intelligent localization - that is, Convert 2 displays its menus in U.S. English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, and Finnish on-the-fly based on your installed OS localization.
Convert 2 is a major release free to all registered Convert 1.3 users who purchased after 01 January 2002. Otherwise, the upgrade is $15. If you need a version of Convert that supports older 68K Macs, please use Convert 1.3.4. Note that version 1.3.4 is the last version that supports 68K Macs.
System Requirements
Requires Mac OS 9.1 or later; built for Mac OS X. Mac OS 9 requires CarbonLib. Convert 2 requires a Macintosh computer with 1.5 MB RAM available for the application's use. NOT compatible with Mac OS X 10.8 (aka Mountain Lion)
